CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING:
Are you a passionate cross-country skier? Or would you simply like to try this beautiful and demonstrably healthy winter sport?
The Nordic Center in Saalfelden offers you many opportunities in this sport! Here you’ll find trails that are artificially snow-covered, independent of natural snowfall, as well as a night-lit cross-country ski trail.
In Saalfelden and the surrounding region, you’ll find a wide variety of cross-country ski trails for both classic and skating styles. Enjoy hundreds of kilometers of trails, from easy valley tracks to World Championship trails and high-altitude mountain trails with breathtaking views.
SLEDDING:
Want to experience some real fun again? With your friends or the whole family? Or even on your own? Then why not go sledding?
Saalfelden and the surrounding region offer several natural toboggan runs of varying lengths. Depending on the run, you can reach the starting point on the mountain on foot, by toboggan taxi, or by cable car. Before setting off, you can fortify yourself with culinary delights and perhaps even a celebratory schnapps at an alpine hut or mountain inn.
Most toboggan runs can be used all day, and you can also go tobogganing in the evening – because they are illuminated then!
